New Video Production Timeframes  

  • Week of Nov 1: Nov 2-3: St. Croix, Nov 4 -5 Puerto Rico, Nov 6 Diane returns to Texas 
  • Week of Nov 8 - alternate week if Diane is not available to travel week of Nov 1. 
  • Post production schedule TBD but goal should be to finish by December 31 if possible. 


Production Planning -  Key Deadlines

  •  Maria/Lori sends Diane and Del  an outline for the video products  that provides a video production/content roadmap (Friday,  October 8)
  • Del will work with Diane to flesh out the outline with ideas and opportunities for filming and providers, health center staff, outreach workers and people getting vaccinated. 
  •  Del will work with the health centers and teams to coordinate interviews 
  • Del shares outline with NACHC team on Friday, October 22, noon meeting. Del or NACHC team will also share with Kathy to keep her informed.
  • Finalize outline with any last minute details - Friday, October 29 – a Friday noon meeting can be scheduled as needed.

Content Discussion:

  • A day in the life video content will be filmed only in Puerto Rico because the program is more established. We can capture footage from three clinics. Just signed a contract with School of Dentistry in PR where they will train students to give COVID-19 vaccines to school aged children.  We may be able to capture some of these students and their work at the schools on film (just not show student faces for privacy reasons).  
  • Coalition building can be a theme weaved into the content captured in St. Croix. The situation there is pretty challenging.   They are dealing with a significant staffing shortage, particularly among nurses leaving to the mainland due to demand for nurses and increased $$$.  They are bringing in nurses from other islands like Barbados. Do not have enough staff to offer ongoing  vaccinations.  Filming opportunities include training preparation before teams go into the field or debrief huddle after they return. It will just depend on what is happening when we there for filming.
