Session Description:
This session will provide an in-depth exploration of the implementation guide, offering participants practical strategies and actionable steps for successfully establishing family healthy weight programs in their health center. The session will feature presentations from experts in family healthy weight programs, as well as facilitated discussions and interactive exercises to engage participants in the learning process. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with their peers, share experiences, and gain practical insights into implementing successful family healthy weight programs.
By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources to effectively implement family healthy weight programs in their health centers. They will have a clear roadmap for action based on the implementation guide, enabling them to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of children and families in their communities.

Objectives:
Understand the Implementation Guide: Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the components and structure of the implementation guide, including its seven-step framework for launching family healthy weight programs. They will learn how to navigate the guide and utilize its resources effectively.
Obtain Practical Implementation Strategies: Participants will learn practical strategies for implementing each step of the implementation guide in their health center. They will explore real-world examples and case studies to understand how to adapt the guide to their specific context and overcome common challenges.
Learn How to Build Capacity and Sustainability: Participants will learn how to assess personnel and resource capacity, select appropriate curricula, and plan for sustainability in family healthy weight programs. They will explore strategies for securing funding, engaging stakeholders, and building partnerships to support program sustainability.
Improve Evaluation and Quality Improvement: Participants will learn how to establish data collection systems and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of their family healthy weight programs. They will explore strategies for continuous quality improvement and learn how to refine their programs based on feedback and outcomes.
