Sandy Jones is a 66-year-old woman who lives with her husband in a rural community. They are very active. She has a history of thyroid cancer without any continued symptoms. She has 2 children that live in different states with their families. She tested positive for COVID after having URI symptoms but has since been vaccinated. She has remained relatively healthy and has taken home COVID tests when she has any concerning symptoms but has preferred to seek care virtually in the meantime.
Provider
Dr. Joe Wilner was born and raised in Oregon state and completed medical school at OHSU in 2016. He has a wife and two small children. He works at an FQHC clinic with other providers and support staff. This clinic has seen high turnover rates as his staff sought out higher paying jobs and less stressful working conditions. He has struggled with vaccinating patients in this small community and doing outreach. He also is concerned with the number of patients that have choses not to come to the clinic and the potential downstream effects on their health screenings.
