Comments from AllianceChicago
  • For contraceptive document, we have three different ways to determine contraceptive method: from Problem, Medication, CPT code (for billing) and via Observation.
  • In our previous experience, pregnancy termination cannot be tracked completely and we cannot track patients who are transferred.
  • For one of our other projects, all records for OGTT, and A1C has more complete records in the prenatal period.
  • Although with a more accurate delivery date pull, we still rely on EDC that is not always 100% accurate.
  • Our definitions for pulling postpartum data is still under optimization. We cannot only rely on CPT codes.
