Aileen -

  • (Andrea did not catch the first question)

  • Should the baseline data have been collected prior to tool implementation? A: One of the sites had the tool since July; the second site needed a different start date to make it prior to implementation because they started later.

Implementation by the end of the month.

Baseline data has already been sent to NACHC.

Partners Union and TrueHealth - Ken

  • We are recruiting partners who use athena health so we can establihs a model that can be integrated into their system and answer the question: How can we use athenahealth without disrupting the care cycle?

  • Mapping has been done to athena model, now working to get (AP missed this)

  • Next steps push data to Athena for…requests…

  • Working to push data to Athena regardless of user

HealthFlow integration of PrEP and PEP

HealthFlow

Ken - Supporting additional testing

Looking at how to include PEP and PrEP in the decision model, cannot be picked up and dropped in.

Ken and Julia will be at HL7 meeting in May, and will discuss - is this an area for connect-a-thon testing, or an example for future HL7 meetings, such as in Sept - can we work with other EHR partners to implement the tool?

We reached out to eCW, they had a customer interested in using the tools, are talking with that customer as well.

The workflow that is associated with this in integrated with HealthFlow’s work with another party to drive the standards forward and get adoption of the standard approaches.

Aileen - Are PEP and PrEP already implemented in OCHIN and Alliance?

A: There are parts of it, yes, kind of at OCHIN

A: This is not already part of the specification.

HealthFlow is also talking with vendor NextGen.

  •  Andrea to put on May All Partners agenda - update on HL7 work - Julia.

Reminder about Harvest Meeting

Friday July 14 11am for one hour (we had expanded the time to 90 minutes in case there was a need for further discussion - we may not use all 90 minutes, as the CDC team can stay for 60 minutes).

NACHC will send slide template to partners.

Questions and Discussion

CDC, All

Aileen

  • Are we gathering feedback from the provider on this tool? Do they find this helpful? Do they feel it has freed up appointment time?

  • AllianceChicago - for the site that has been using it, they have not had providers fill out the tool; the MAs do it and then it gets handed out to providers. They like it enough to have asked to add things to it and have suggested improvements. It highlights who is high risk for them, so they get more of a push to have the conversation about testing and PrEP. No formal data yet. Positive feedback, we get back to them about the changes AC has made - buttons, minor tweaks to risk factors.
