NACHC funding status

Julia

NACHC submitted a proposal.

CDC has submitted a funding request for the grant, to add funds August 1, 2022, for less money.

CDC has plans to expand the use of the CDS tool that this project is piloting and wants to be able to see data to support the hypothesis that HIV testing would increase with the use of this tool - data for six months.

Tools would need to be deployed and data collected by November or December 2022. Report by July 2023 with six months - same data, in a monthly cycle if possible.

Method of implementation is flexible.

Questions:

NACHC send 2 pager on how to implement the tool.

Partner Proposed Implementation Report-out

Partners

Fenway: Can we implement if we don’t integrate the interface into the Epic EHR - would implement the logic, not the tool without the prompting of the EHR because of switch to Epic. It won’t be CDS hooks, but smaller scale to improve testing rates. Not to the degree that CDC is looking for in terms of testing the CDS tool per se.

A: Yes, you can replicate the logic in your system. What are the elements that can be supported, and what would need to be done to get to the full implementation?

Ohio Lower Lights - Major update to EHR ongoing; IT is not taking any changes to the system at this time. Maybe not until late 2022 - more likely early 2023. Not really an option until 5/2023. Does that leave us out of the project?

A: No, there could be additional activities later.

AllianceChicago: Has completed discovery and design, reviewed design with CHC - Confirming YES will have implementation by 9/22.

Montefiore: Cannot at this time due to capacity issues.
