There are two types of CDC proposals:
Five Year Cooperative Agreement
Supplemental Proposals
There are three rounds of funding for CDC grant proposals
Round 1 – Notice of Funding Opportunity is released by CDC
Project Leads prepares work plans and budgets for the proposal based on the specific level of funding available
CAD leadership reviews, revises, and approves work plans and budgets
Finance (Director and CFO) provides a final review and approval of work plans and budgets
Grants Administration team uploads continuation work plans and/or CIO response to project plans to CSTLTS Recipient Dashboard and GrantSolutions and when applicable to Grants.gov
Note: If it is a new CIO project, Federal forms are required to be submitted, as approved by CFO, in Grants.gov
Proposal Review Process
After submitted, CDC Technical Monitors reviews each project proposal
Notice of Awards – Once approved, CDC issues a Notice of Awards (NoA). The NoA details the amount funded for the project and provides guidance on any additional requirements for revisions or information.
Round 2 – Budget Revisions, Technical Reviews and New CIO Projects (i.e. supplemental proposals)
